Founded in 1993, Parsec is a privately owned electronic engineering company. We pride ourselves on being a technology force that provides all-inclusive embedded solutions to OEMs, system integrators and product suppliers in the defence/aerospace, telecommunications and industrial sectors, who outsource their sub-system design and manufacturing requirements to Parsec.
Based south of Pretoria, we have created a special work environment for our employees who are encouraged to be innovative and to improve their capabilities for their personal growth and for the benefit of our clients and partners. In addition to machine and assembly operators, support and logistical members, our core staff is composed of highly qualified and experienced electronic engineers and technicians whose expertise is used to define a concept and develop it into a customized, fully integrated, state-of-the-art sub-system.
Our purpose is to enhance the competitiveness of our clients. As a technology force we have the expertise and capabilities to offer a broad range of tailored embedded solutions based on customized hardware and software design, as well as manufacturing services. We leverage the designs on our own commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) technology, based on accepted PCI standards and open system architectures. The use of these maximizes the re-use of both common hardware and software building blocks which ultimately benefits our clients.
Our manufacturing facility is geared towards low to-medium-volume, high-technology assembly for prototyping and production runs. High workmanship standards are maintained while special attention is given to delivering high quality assembled boards. Additional services include component procurement, PCB sourcing, component assembly and board and sub-system testing. We are able to mount fine-line BGAs and high-density components. Our facility is equipped with the latest fully automated pick and place machines, re-flow and wave-solder ovens, optical inspection (AOI) and specialized hand assembly equipment.
The company’s overall strategy is to realize business growth by increasing local market share and expanding our established international network by means of partnering with systems integrators, OEMs and service providers globally.
