PM411: StarFabric based Multi-PMC Tester

The PM411 module is a is a modular StarFabric based PMC tester with two PMC module sites. This unit is ideal for development and testing of single or dual PMC modules.

The PM411 interfaces to a workstation PC via a StarFabric PCI interface card. It connects to the StarFabric interface card via two 2.5 Gbps full duplex StarFabric links. CAT5 cables are used to connect the PM411 to the StarFabric PCI interface card. These two can be up to 10 meters apart.

The PM411 incorporates a Stargen SG2010 StarFabric-to-PCI bridge device. Both PMC sites are connected to the Stargen SG2010. All PCI interfaces are PCI 2.2 compliant and capable of 32/64-bit 33/66Mhz bus speeds.

An ALTERA CYCLONE® FPGA is incorporated and available to the user for custom test or interface firmware. Comprehensive JTAG support is built into the PM411. This allows for easy access to JTAG enabled devices on PMC modules as well as the capability to perform boundary scan with suitable third party software. abric interconnect, the carrier also routes the user defined I/Os from the two PMC sites to J5.
