PM431: PMC FPGA Processing Module with up to 3 million FPGA gates and 5MB ZBT RAM
The
PM431 is a PMC module that employs FPGA technology to provide a high bandwidth processing platform, targeted at typical Radar/Video functions such as FFT, FIR filters and convolution.
The PM431 uses an ALTERA STRATIX® FPGA device to implement a high-speed processing node. A separate FPGA is used for interfacing to the PCI bus. The two FPGAs are interconnected with a high-speed Local Bus that supports simultaneous target read/write and DMA transactions at peak PCI data rate.
Up to 10MB of on-board ZBT memory (5MB standard) is connected to the processing FPGA. Configuration data for the processing FPGA is stored in an on-board Flash memory that is programmable via the PCI bus. The PM431 has a 32/64-bit 33/66MHz PCI bus as well as 64 PMC I/Os. The PCI bus provides sustained data rates of up to 420 Mbytes/s to and from the module.
